Deals and promotional websites

One of the most fabulous deals I have ever purchased was a 20 class pass for $20 at a local Yoga studio in my area. Deals like this used to be hard to find. With more bargain sites like Dealfind, WagJag, DealTicker and Groupon anyone can easily find these deals nowadays. For people who are new to yoga (for example), these types of deals can be helpful in deciding if you want to continue in the future. You don't want to commit to a long term contract and find out yoga isn't for you, right? This can save you time and money if you just want to test it out.

I normally pass on promotions like free classes where you are required to sign a contract. I have seen fitness gyms do this and I feel it is unethical to "trick" someone into a contract. Most times they give you an option to cancel at the end of the free term, but with the hopes that you will forget to do so. Or if you do remember to cancel, they give you a hard time by using pressure sales talk or the run around. So, do your due diligence to find out if the deal is really worth it. Do not be afraid to ask questions about the promotion and remember that you're simply trying to save time and money for yourself.
